ANE Resources, Inc., manufacturer and owner of KEYpak, integrates KEYpak with Lotus Soft7Switch LMS for AIX gateway server and enterprise messaging solutions. KEYpak LMS on AIX will automatically identify binary file attachments, which require conversion from their native file format to the recipient's formats.

Chicago, IL, August 7, 1997 - ANE Resources, Inc., announced today that KEYpak has been integrated with the Soft7Switch LMS for AIX enterprise messaging solutions. KEYpak has been integrated with Soft7Switch Central on IBM MVS and VM since 1992; KEYpak has been integrated with EMX/LMS switch originally on the DG Aviion when Soft7Switch introduced the Open Object Translation Interface (OOTI). OOTI is an Application Programming Interface (API) that enables KEYpak translation application to be integrated within LMS, thereby allowing the user to incorporate document and image translation directly on the switch. Documents and other objects can be automatically translated from the originator's format to the required format of the recipient.

According to Dwane Flaman, Technical Support Manager at ANE Resources, "As switching demands increase due to the number of messaging capabilities available to support Legacy, MS Exchange, SMTP, Lotus Notes Servers and Internet connections, the demand for exchanging binary document formats and the need for KEYpak document translation services is more apparent." ANE Resources also provides Lotus Soft7Switch with PostFAX through the OEM channel for Soft7Switch's mailFax 2.0 product. ANE Resources, Inc. provides migration and conversion services from such email systems such as Digital's ALL-IN-1 to Lotus Notes and SNADS to Exchange. Professional services are available for custom applications and integrations.

KEYpak is available on UNIX, VMS, IBM VM, and MVS, NT, Windows, and other platforms. KEYpak and PostFAX provide document conversion among disparate computing platforms to include conversion translators for HTML, fax, graphics and word processing formats. The KEYpak converters and filters are also used in many text retrieval and search companies to provide format translation to HTML or ASCII.

The Lotus Messaging Switch (LMS) is the leading multi-protocol enterprise backbone-messaging switch, providing high-performance and scaleable interoperability between heterogeneous messaging applications. LMS facilitates high-fidelity translation between disparate messaging applications (e.g., SNADS to X.400, SMTP/MIME to Notes, cc:Mail to PROFS) in mission-critical messaging communications environment. LMS supports industry standard messaging protocols such as SMTP/MIME and X.400, and also a wide-range of other protocols including IBM SNADS, PROFS (OV/VM), MVS, and other protocols used by many messaging applications (Lotus Notes, cc:Mail, Microsoft Mail, Banyan, and many more).

ANE Resources, Inc. is a privately-held company and a leading supplier of document translation software on multiple platforms, which enable millions of users worldwide to access, convert and translate information across disparate computing platforms. ANE Resources, Inc. markets its products and services worldwide through an international distributor network, original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) and direct sales.
